Why clients choose to work with Andrea:

My clients often felt that their prior financial professionals seemed primarily interested in doing things that would elicit some sort of compensation.   In me, those clients say that they have found a planner totally focused on their needs.  As we build their Success Stories, we might discuss one specific financial matter and, in working through that primary concern, other needs surface and are addressed.  My process is built around meeting the client’s needs, first, last and foremost.

Can my children who are 2 years apart be in the same camp group?

We make every effort to honor requests, but cannot guarantee them. Camp is an awesome place to meet new friends and do some self discovery. Campers in the 7-9 years of age group follow a different schedule than the campers in the 10-14 years of age group. Siblings in these different age groups will not be in the same group due to their different activity schedules.

How are you maintaining a safe environment with COVID-19?

Our team will always adhere to the government health and guidelines put forth. Your child’s safety will always be our number one concern. Our COVID plan will have some action items like:

  • Campers will have their temperature taken at Check-In each day by a Counselor. A health assessment will be taken at that time with a parent/guardian present before the camper can be allowed to come to camp.
  • Frequent use of hand sanitizers as a standard practice throughout the day. Face masks will be required at all times.
  • A designated Safety Team of Counselors will be disinfecting each activity area before campers utilize equipment.
Please refer to The Forge COVID Practices for the most up to date procedures.

What is the Cancellation Policy?

We are aware that plans change and emergencies arise that require you to cancel your camp registration. You may cancel 30 days (or more) before your camp start date to receive 100% refund.

  • 2 weeks before camp start date, a 50% refund will be issued.
  • 2 weeks or less before camp, no refund will be issued.

What happens during Inclement Weather?

Camp happens rain or shine so check the weather each day and dress accordingly. If we have a rainy day, for safety purposes some activities will be closed for a period of time until it’s safe to resume that activity. Campers will then find themselves in outdoor tents with rainy day projects, games and Forge fun!

What sort of activities will my child be participating in?

Ages 10-14 will experience the Eight Towers Adventure with a different tower each day with 2 Zipline opportunities in the week. Ages 7-10 will experience the Two Towers Adventure each day. Energizer Time is a chance for everyone to do fun and engaging Wake Up/Warm Ups to get us ready for the day. Exhilarate Activities are a chance for everyone to try Mountain Biking, Paddlesports, Laser Tag and perhaps some AR Adventure Games. Exploration & Art Attack time gets everyone out on The Forge trails and conservation areas for unique and fun opportunities to learn more about the world around them.

Does my child receive a T- Shirt?

Yes! Each week your child is signed up for, they will receive a T- Shirt.

Who is facilitating Quarry Camps?

Quarry Camp is designed and created by educators with combined 30+years experience working in camps, schools and community programming. Led by our Educational Program Director and Camp Coordinator, extensive hiring efforts are underway to find mature, creative and AWESOME college and high school camp counselors. All counselors will be trained in CPR and Basic First Aid and along, with The Forge Adventure Guides and staff, have a deep commitment to creating the safest camp environment possible. Counselors will also go through extensive training in activities, inclusion, diversity and much more to ensure the best camp experience for all campers. Awesome college & high school camp counselors who are 16+ years in age will be engaging and facilitating the campers each week. Counselors who are under 18 will not be Lead Group Camp Counselors for our campers who are in the 10-14 age range.

Will campers be doing activities along with the general public?

All areas of The Forge will be open to Members and general public during camp hours. Our Camp Counselors go through extensive training for safety procedures and all campers will be supervised at all times at Quarry Camp.

What should my child bring/wear to camp?

  • Closed-toe shoes and loose fitting pants, shorts and shirts appropriate for the
  • weather/activity. Very short shorts/shirts are NOT recommended as these will interfere with the safety gear.
  • Under-helmet coverings (bandanna or baseball cap).
  • Sunscreen, water bottle, hat with brim.
  • Backpack for belongings and lunch, clearly marked with child's name. We will have a secure
  • place for your child's backpack when they are doing an activity.
  • If your child is bringing theirr own lunch & drink, please make sure it is in a small cooler type pack - there is NO refrigeration on site.
  • For campers 10-14, full-finger gloves are required for the Eight Towers Adventure

Are phones and electronic devices allowed at camp?

Yes, but they must be in the backpack during activities. There will be plenty of time at lunch, freetime, and Exploration for pictures and capturing memories!

Will my child need money?

The Forge is a Cashless Operation. Parents and campers have the opportunity to purchase The Forge merchandise at Check-In and Check-Out. We currently area accepting credit card swipe and chip pay, as well as debit cards.

How can I communicate with my child during camp hours?

If you text/email your camper, they will be able to read any messages during lunch and freetime. Call Guest Services (630-326-3301) and they will contact the Camp Leaders and communicate to your camper. The camp leadership team will always have a phone on them to receive any messages and questions passed along.

How can I find out more specifics about the day to day activities at camp?

As we get closer to the start of camp, we will be updating the Camp page on The Forge website. We recommend parents keep an eye open for emails regarding camp themes and special events.

What is a Quarry Lunch if I choose that selection?

You will receive more details regarding camp lunches in the Parent Welcome letter closer to the beginning of camp. Quarry Lunch will consist of a Sandwich, 2 snacks and a water bottle. A delicious meal with just the right amount of nutrition and energy to set your camper up for the rest of the day!

What if my child does not meet the requirements for specific activities (i.e. your 10 year old camper is not yet 52’’ tall to climb the Eight Towers Adventure)?

Unfortunately, for safety reasons we cannot make exceptions regardless of the child’s age for some of the activities. If this is the case, we will have alternative safe and fun activities for those campers. You can learn more about the Exhilarate activities’ requirements through the Exhilarate section of our website. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.

Are the campers divided into groups? How big are the groups?

Lil' Adventurers (7-9) and Explorers (10-14) will be split into 10-15 campers per group. Groups will not exceed 15 campers. For Example: if there are 37 Explorers signed up, we will break them in three groups of 12-13 campers.
